And some other examples:
- I was doing some marathon baking the other day when it was cool and was in and out of the pantry a lot. Apparently so was Brock. I looked over to see him sitting on the little step into the living room with the Costco sized chocolate syrup tipped up, trying to get a taste of what was inside. Thank goodness it was almost empty and he wasn't getting anything but a taste of the dried chocolate on the lid...but it sure gave me a shock!
- He's become very good at picking up random little things and hiding them in odd places - like speakers.
- He LOVES to crash his ride-on truck into my fridge. And thinks it's hilarious when I guard it and give his truck a shove backwards before he can get to the fridge.
- He has cost me many hours of laundry as he has figured out the power buttons on both machines. It's really stupid that the child lock functions locks every other button EXCEPT the power one that will kill any cycle at any point.
- Has started folding his arms for prayers
- Is talking inconsistently. He knows lots of words and some days uses a lot of them and sometimes it's days or weeks before I hear him say it again
- Caused us some concern with his right leg. The Friday we were camping he couldn't support his weight on his right leg for about half an hour. It would just collapse under him. And then he was fine. But it happened again a couple of days after we were home so off to the doctor we went. One round of normal x-rays and no more incidents later - our doc thinks the fluid around his hip was a little inflamed. He says it happens. But if he starts doing it again we go back for other testing.
- Went to nursery for the first time on Sunday. I'm subbing for 2 weeks so I figured him starting a week early wasn't going to hurt anyone. He had a blast! After hitting his head a couple of times trying to climb up the slide the "right" way, he decided it was better to climb the slide itself and then turn around and walk back down, and then trip on the last step and fall. And or course repeat the procedure many times.
- Loves to drink out of his own cup now...but is still very attached to his bottle. And I'm not ready to make him give it up. Funny how things change from kid to kid...I was determined that Rhett wouldn't go to nursery with a bottle and it doesn't even phase me with Brock.
- Is a MOOCH! He loves to eat whatever someone else is eating. You can make him the same thing another time, put him in his chair and he won't touch it.
- Seems to always be sporting some cut or bruise on his head. A week before camping he fell out of our bed and got matching cuts above his eyes from our bed frame and bed side table. Much swelling and bruising later he now has two matching scars...not sure how long those will be around for!
- Is a road runner! He loves to be outside but it can be hard because as soon as he spots the road that's where he wants to be. Doesn't matter if we're at the beach, a park, in the yard...if he can get to the road that's where he is headed!
- Has started laughing at cartoons. It's really funny to hear him giggling at Backyardigans or something like that.
- Climbs onto every thing! The table used to be safe but then he figured out how to move the chairs. Now I find him walking around up there all the time. And the boys have learned the hard way not to leave their cereal etc on the table because otherwise they get to help clean up the mess!
We love our busy boy!

What a cutie! I completely agree about the stupid childlocks not stopping the power button! A certain 3 year old I know has spent a great deal of time in time out for stopping my laundry!
How fun. He does sound BUSY
